School Based Therapist
Supervised by Jennifer Cary, LCSW
Do you feel like your story has lost the plot or that you’re stuck in a bad chapter? It
doesn’t have to be that way. Let me help you move forward. I have four years of clinical mental
health experience helping others deal with life transitions, isolation, finding meaning or purpose
in life, work or school issues, family problems, and grief and loss.
I have extensive personal and professional experience with the LGBTQ+ population and
am able to write clinical letters of referral for gender affirming care.Queerness can feel like
being a square peg in a round hole. As a nonbinary individual, I understand firsthand the
discomfort of navigating a society that wants you to fit in a certain box. I believe the more we
explore our identities and get to know ourselves, the more secure we become and the more
empowered we are.
My personality does have an impact on my practice as a clinician. Clients and
colleagues have shared that I have a calming disposition even when navigating difficult
subjects. I genuinely believe that everyone can obtain success (in whatever way they define it)
as long as they are willing to put in dedication and time into healing. I have experience using
internal family systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and cognitive
behavioral therapy (CBT). With families specifically, I tend to use emotionally focused therapy
(EFT) and narrative family therapy.
