Sarah Dobey, LPC, MAC, ACS

She / her / hers

Clinical Director and Founder of Head & Heart Therapy

My Story

I have been in the field of mental health and addictions for over a decade, holding a variety of positions such as Clinical Director of the Integrative Trauma Treatment Center, and Women's Program Coordinator at Cedar Hills Hospital. I have been providing Clinical Supervision for approximately six years, helping clinicians with various levels of experience grow as professionals. In addition, I am a national speaker, passionate about the theme of Trauma Informed Care, among other topics.

Over the years, I have worked with individuals of all ages and various presenting concerns. Part of why I love this work is the diversity that it brings, continuously providing me with opportunities for growth.   I love that people are unique with different quirks, perspectives, values, and cultural backgrounds.  I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time with my three hairless creatures.

I will eventually update my bio, but I did want to add that I received a Masters degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University. My program, which I completed in two years, was extremely rigorous. My graduate program was 86 hours and I earned a 3.60 GPA. Most graduate programs, for reference, are around 60 hours. â€‹â€‹
