My Story

Hello and welcome!

I'm Kayla, and I'm honored to embark on this therapeutic journey with you. I am a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

In our work together, I embrace a holistic approach that integrates various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe in the importance of tailoring our approach to meet your unique needs and preferences. Whether we're exploring thought patterns in CBT, practicing mindfulness techniques, or tapping into your subconscious through creative interventions, my goal is to provide a customized and inclusive healing experience that honors your individuality.

I am also deeply fascinated by the potential therapeutic benefits of psilocybin-assisted therapy. While this field is still evolving, I am committed to staying informed and open to exploring innovative approaches that may offer profound healing opportunities for my clients. I uphold ethical standards in counseling and ensure that my advocacy for psilocybin-assisted therapy is informed by evidence-based research, client safety, and informed consent.

Above all, I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, dedicated to guiding clients through life's challenges while fostering inner peace and self-acceptance. Together, we'll explore the root causes of obstacles, design personalized treatment plans that highlight strengths, enhance coping strategies, and promote healthier relationships. In addition, I emphasize the importance of cultivating resilience, deepening self-awareness, and nurturing a sense of empowerment.
