Kayla's Story

I am a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach tailored to meet each client's individual needs and goals, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

With a background in holistic wellness, I believe in the transformative power of mindfulness-based practices such as meditation, gratitude, self-compassion, and creative expression to help clients cultivate inner peace and self-acceptance. These practices can be incorporated into daily life to enhance present moment awareness, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being.

I am dedicated to helping clients navigate complex issues and concerns involving anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and strained relationships. With empathy and compassion, I collaborate with my clients to explore the root causes of their struggles and develop personalized treatment plans that allow clients to discover their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate healthier relationships.
